The final illustration depicts a heartwarming take on the tragic subject matter, featuring the ghost of Little Gracie appearing before a young boy, who marvels in shock. The boy is surprised, not only by her appearance, but by the fact that Gracie has successfully checkmated him in their little game of tic-tac-toe.

The animated illustration, finalized in Adobe After Effects, taking place in the park square Gracie is said to haunt, where she takes the chalk and makes her penultimate move that secures her victory.
